photo shoot...

for my sister's birthday we did a little photo shoot of emma and her 

"happy birthday aunt chele" sign. 

they were too cute not to share with everyone!!!

this little doggie is emma's favorite thing to play with... holly usually tries to hide from our over zealous toddler but decided to get in on the action. since we won't be having any dogs at our house we're thankful to the cherry family for letting emma get her doggie fill!

she's come a long way from tofu frosting...

so, the other day i was getting emma ready for her swimming lessons and needed to run upstairs to grab her some clothes and get a few things for myself. i left emma downstairs alone for THREE minutes...

these were cookies left over from a meeting steve had and they were UP on the counter with the lid sealed nicely over the top! if you look close at the top picture you can see her cheeks are quite full of the stolen goods. i have no idea how many she shoveled in but judging by the chocolate on her face and the numerous half eaten cookies on the floor she certainly had her fill! i'm pretty sure the child had more sugar in these three minutes than she's had in her 20 months of life... needless to say she never stopped bouncing for the entire hour we were at the pool!

praise the Lord we got a new camera and we have certainly put it to good use!!! i'm a little overdue with some posts so they might not be in order but i'm getting them posted and that is the most important thing!!! here are a few videos of emma and all of her cuteness!

emma is like a sponge these days... literally everyday there is a new word! i'm so fascinated by her and just watching her learn. she's even putting words together, i'm so proud:) there are ton of words she says really well, but here is a list of some of the ones that are her own versions...

nack pees = snack please

yo-goo pees = yogurt please

go-kee pees = cookie please

*notice the food ones are followed by a please... she'll try whatever she can to get more food (can we say, her mother's child!?!)

poo = swimming pool

su su = swimming suit

binka = binky

un-kee = monkey

ba = ball

ga gon = all gone

ni ni go = go night night

ow-sie = outside

tika = sticker

circa = circle

bo bo = boo boo (ooo... this one melts my heart every time)

my camera is out of commission at the moment so when i get that issue taken care of i'll try to get some video up asap of these words in action!

is it normal to take pics of your child's first dental visit?!?

this kind of a random set of pics but, of course, they're all delightful!! 

these first two are just after church but i thought they were adorable!

this is emma's first trip to the dentist! all the ladies were nuts over her... how can i really blame them?!? it was easier to be the cheesy mom and ask to take her picture since they were enamored by her- they definitely gave her way more stickers than most kids get!!

the best part of wakin' up...

i'm pretty sure emma is the happiest child in the world when i go in and get her after a nap! she's always funny but there's something about that post-slumber greeting that just makes me laugh! i decided to try and catch some of her antics on film and here's what i got...

ahhh... it just melts my heart everytime!

i know i know... it's been a while! i really have no excuses so i'm not even going to try and defend myself. instead we'll just skip over the last four months as though i'm not the negligent blogger we all know i am!

emma was raggedy ann for halloween this year! my mom made the costume, of course, and it was beyond great!!  the youth group had a party up at the church, "fall thing" and emma was the life of the party! she was such a good sport- she kept her hat on the whole night!!
